My journey began at Kaufland through a dual degree in Business Information Systems. Specializing in SAP Retail, I worked on retail processes, pricing, master data, and the integration of store technologies. These experiences shaped my understanding of how technology and business must work together to create value. Over the years, I progressed into leadership roles and eventually became Head of Procurement Processes, responsible for driving process excellence across the organization.
Joining GK Software as a Solution Architect marked my transition from retail operations into large-scale enterprise technology. Working with international retailers across Europe and Africa, I focused on connecting business requirements with scalable software architectures. Over the years, I helped build SAP integration capabilities, established consulting teams, and supported some of the industry's largest retail transformation projects. This chapter reinforced my belief that innovation is most successful when it combines technological excellence with a deep understanding of business processes.
Taking over Retail7 marked a shift from technology leadership to business leadership. The focus was no longer only on products and projects, but on shaping an organization, defining a clear market strategy, building international structures, and creating sustainable growth. Over the years, I have worked on strengthening the company's positioning, expanding its product portfolio, building global sales and partner networks, and integrating Retail7 into the GK Software organization. This journey reinforced my belief that successful transformation requires a combination of vision, execution, and strong people.
